The commonly taught text opens with róu sāng pò nèn yá (soft mulberry breaks into tender buds) and ends with jì cài huā (shepherd's purse flowers). The source text has róu tiáo chū pò yá (soft branches first break into buds) and yě jì huā (wild shepherd's purse flowers), another old version.
