Background创作背景

This lyric shows the countryside in spring around Qingming, and the joy of some young girls playing games. We no longer know which year it was written. The spring Earth God festival and Qingming were lively spring days, when people went out to walk in the green fields and have fun. Yan Shu caught these scenes in a light, cheerful style.

这首词写的是清明前后的乡村春景，和几个年轻姑娘在春天里游戏的快乐。具体写于哪一年已经说不清了。春社和清明都是古人春天里很热闹的日子，大家出门踏青、游玩。晏殊用很轻快的笔调，把这些画面记录了下来。

The poet作者

Yan Shu (991–1055) was a Northern Song ci poet. He was very bright as a child; at fourteen he was sent to the court as a child prodigy, and later he became chief minister. His lyrics usually show a calm, easy life and delicate feelings, in fresh and graceful words. This one is fresh and lively, full of everyday life.

晏殊（991—1055），北宋词人。他从小就很聪明，十四岁就被当作“神童”推荐给朝廷，后来做到宰相。他的词多写闲适的生活和细腻的感情，语言清新优美。这首词就写得清新活泼，充满了生活气息。

The mood意境

The first stanza is like a set of little spring snapshots. The swallows are back, the pear blossoms have fallen, and Qingming has come. A few spots of moss by the pond, a few notes from under the leaves, willow fluff drifting slowly. 'Three or four spots', 'once or twice': the details are tiny and exact, and spring seems right before your eyes. In the second stanza people appear. The girl from next door meets a friend on the mulberry path, smiling. She won the grass contest today, so no wonder she had a sweet dream last night, and her smile keeps spreading over her face. She is an innocent, happy girl. The poem blends the beauty of spring with her joy, and reading it makes you happy too.
