The mood意境

The first half shows both the scene and the people. Outside the pavilion the willows are green and the grass is fresh, a lovely spring. Yet the young man walked off as if it were nothing. Up in the tower, her dream is broken by the dawn bell. Under the flowers, her sorrow keeps falling like spring rain. The bell and the rain make her loneliness something you can hear. The second half speaks straight from the heart. People without feelings do not suffer; only those who love deeply do. One small heart can grow thousands of threads of sorrow. The last two lines are the most famous. Even the farthest places on earth have an end, but longing has none. Comparing it with the farthest places shows how long longing lasts.
