Some versions write xiāo (to fade) and niǎn (to hold between the fingers) with other characters of the same meaning. The poem is also titled Jian Zi Huan Xi Sha, a shortened form of the tune.

有的版本“销”作“消”，“拈”作“捻”，意思一样。这首词又题作《减字浣溪沙》。

Background创作背景

This poem shows an evening in early spring. A young woman picks plum blossoms under the moon, then goes back to her room and lets down the curtains. We do not know when or where it was written. Nothing big happens in it. It is just a small moment of daily life, but it is written so beautifully that it is one of He Zhu's best-known pieces about scenes and people.

这首词写的是初春的一个傍晚，一位女子在月下摘梅花，然后回房放下帘子的情景。具体的写作时间和地点，现在都已经不清楚了。词里没有大事，只是一个小小的生活片段，却写得很美，是贺铸写景写人的名作。

The poet作者

He Zhu (1052–1125) came from Weizhou, today's Weihui in Henan. He was a Northern Song writer of song lyrics. He was tall and fierce-looking, with a dark face, and people nicknamed him Ghost-Head He. Yet his lyrics are gentle and delicate. A famous line of his about rain when the plums turn yellow earned him another nickname, Plum He.

贺铸（1052—1125），字方回，号庆湖遗老，卫州（今河南卫辉）人，北宋词人。他长得高大威猛，脸色青黑，人称“贺鬼头”，可是他的词却写得非常细腻柔美。他因为一句“梅子黄时雨”出了名，又被叫作“贺梅子”。

The mood意境

This poem is like a light ink painting, one picture per line, moving from far to near. First the sunset cloud at the tower corner fades, and the sky slowly darkens. Then we see the pale yellow willows, where crows come back to rest. Now a lovely woman appears, picking plum blossoms in the moonlight. The line about picking plum blossoms with the moon is the most beautiful: it is as if she picks not only flowers, but the moonlight too. Then she goes back to her room, smiling, with the blossoms, and lets down the curtains against the wind, because tonight's wind is colder than last night's. The chill of early spring and the woman's gentleness are both in these small actions.

这首词像一幅淡淡的水墨画，一句一个画面，从远到近。先是楼角的晚霞刚刚褪去，天慢慢暗了；再看淡黄的柳树，乌鸦飞回来歇息。这时，一位美人出现了，她在月光下摘梅花。“和月摘梅花”五个字最美：好像她摘下的不只是花，连月光也一起摘了下来。接着她笑着拿着梅花回房，又放下帘子挡风，因为今晚的风比昨夜还冷。初春的寒意，女子的温柔，都在这些小动作里。
