huàn浣xī溪shā沙·bú不xìn信fāng芳chūn春yàn厌lǎo老rén人

We do not know when this poem was written. In it He Zhu already calls himself an old man, so it is probably from his later years. Spring is nearly over, but he refuses to give in to age. He wants to hurry and enjoy flowers, songs and wine. He Zhu's career as an official never went well, and saying that only drunkenness is true also shows his unhappiness with the world.

这首词的写作时间不详。从词里看，贺铸写它的时候已经自称“老人”，大概是晚年的作品。春天快要过去了，他却不服老，要抓紧时间赏花、听歌、喝酒。贺铸一生做官不得意，这种“醉中才真”的话，也透出他对世事的不满。

He Zhu (1052–1125) came from Weizhou, today's Weihui in Henan. He was a Northern Song writer of song lyrics. He was tall and fierce-looking, with a dark face, and people nicknamed him Ghost-Head He. Yet his lyrics are gentle and delicate. A famous line of his about rain when the plums turn yellow earned him another nickname, Plum He.

贺铸（1052—1125），字方回，号庆湖遗老，卫州（今河南卫辉）人，北宋词人。他长得高大威猛，脸色青黑，人称“贺鬼头”，可是他的词却写得非常细腻柔美。他因为一句“梅子黄时雨”出了名，又被叫作“贺梅子”。

This poem is like an old man arguing with spring. He begins: I do not believe spring scorns the old! I have seen off so many springs, so I must treasure this one all the more. No amount of fun is too much. The second half is even bolder: I love the laughter and the songs, I will go wild over flowers and wine, and I do not care if you are angry. The last line is the one to think about: in this world, only what we feel when drunk is true. The hidden meaning is that what we see when sober is often false. On the surface it says enjoy life while you can, but underneath there is some disappointment with the real world.

这首词像一个老人在和春天赌气。开头他就说：我不信春天会嫌弃老人！我已经送走过那么多个春天了，所以更要珍惜，玩得再多也不嫌多。下阕更大胆：笑声歌声我都喜欢，爱花爱酒爱到发狂，你生气我也不管。最后一句最耐人寻味：世上的事，只有醉了才是真的。言外之意是，清醒的时候看到的，常常是假的。表面上是在说及时行乐，背后却有一点对现实的失望。
