省xǐng: Here it means "to recall, to realize", so it is read xǐng, not shěng.这里是“回想、醒悟”的意思，读 xǐng，不读 shěng。
合hé: Here it means "ought to", read hé.合，这里是“应该”的意思，读 hé。
教jiāo: Here it means "to let, to make"; in old poems it is usually read jiāo.这里是“让、使”的意思，古诗词里多读 jiāo。
参cēn: In this word it is read cēn cī, meaning uneven.“参差”读 cēn cī，是长短不齐、高低不一的样子。

Background创作背景

This lyric is about longing after parting. After leaving the one he loves, the poet gazes at the far road and hears the bells and crows of morning and evening. He remembers their happy days among the flowers, and now they can meet only in dreams. He tries to let the feeling go, but the more he tries, the sadder he grows. No record tells when it was written or whom he missed, and some lines are read in different ways.

这是一首写离别相思的词。和心爱的人分开以后，作者看着远去的路，听着早晚的钟声和鸦叫，想起从前花前的欢乐，只能在梦里相见。他想放下这份感情，却越想越难过。这首词写于什么时候、思念的是谁，都没有留下记载。词里有些句子的意思也有不同的理解。

The poet作者

Lu Rui, also called Jingsi and Yunxi, came from Kuaiji, today's Shaoxing in Zhejiang. He wrote lyrics in the late Southern Song; his dates are unknown. He passed the imperial exam and served as an official, but little is recorded of his life, and only a few of his lyrics survive. This one was chosen for Three Hundred Song Lyrics.

陆叡，字景思，号云西，会稽（今浙江绍兴）人，是南宋后期的词人，生卒年不详。他考中过进士，做过官，但生平留下的记载不多，流传下来的词也只有几首。这首《瑞鹤仙》被收进了《宋词三百首》。

The mood意境

The first line is striking: the clouds are so low and wet they seem to stick to the shapes of the wild geese. The geese can hardly fly, and the poet's heart feels just as heavy. He says he would pay a thousand pieces of gold to buy back good times, but time only slips away: bells call up the dawn, crows caw in the dusk. Past joys come back only in dreams, and he even complains: even if you never return, you should at least send word. The second stanza is harder still. The vow remains, but she is as far as someone flown off on a crane. He tries to cut the threads of love and only stirs up old regrets. He even fears some pair of swallows will carry a trace of her rouge and remind him of her again. At the end he speaks his longing to the mirror, wondering which of them has grown thinner. The question is a little foolish and very true, and it shows how deeply he misses her.

开头一句就很特别：云又低又湿，好像把大雁的影子都粘住了。雁飞不动，人的心也沉甸甸的。他说愿意花千金买回好时光，可是时间只会一天天过去：早上钟声催天亮，晚上乌鸦叫天黑。过去的欢乐只能在梦里重温，他甚至埋怨：你就算不回来，也该捎个信呀。下阕更苦：誓言还在，人却像骑鹤飞走一样远。想剪断情丝，反而勾起旧恨。他还怕哪对燕子身上沾着她的胭脂，又惹他想起她。最后他对着镜子说相思，想看看两个人谁更瘦。这一问很傻，也很真，让人感到他的思念有多深。
