How to read it读音

重chóng: It means gate after gate, layer upon layer, so the character is read chóng.重门，一道又一道的门，“重”读 chóng。
觉jué: It means to wake up, so it is read jué, not jiào as in sleep.觉，睡醒，读 jué，不读睡觉的 jiào。
尽jìn: It means all have flown past, so the character is read jìn.过尽，全部飞过去了，“尽”读 jìn。

Background创作背景

This lyric is about spring just before the Cold Food Festival. Day after day there is slanting wind and fine rain. The poet stays at home behind shut gates, writing poems and drinking, but her heart is full of things she cannot say. It is usually seen as an early work of Li Qingzhao. Her husband Zhao Mingcheng was away, and she was at home alone, missing him. One view says it was written while he served as an official elsewhere. The exact year is not known.

这首词写寒食节前的春天。连日斜风细雨，作者关门在家，写诗喝酒，心里却装着说不完的心事。一般认为这是李清照前期的作品，当时丈夫赵明诚不在身边，她独守家中，写下了对远方亲人的思念。一说写于赵明诚在外做官的时候，具体年份不清楚。

The poet作者

Li Qingzhao (1084 to about 1155), also called the Retired Scholar of Yi'an, was the most famous woman ci poet of the Song. In the first half of her life she lived in comfort and was close to her husband Zhao Mingcheng; together they collected old bronzes, stone rubbings, books and paintings. Later came war, her husband's death and years of wandering. This lyric is from her early years. Its sadness is soft, and it still holds a hope for spring.

李清照（1084—约1155），号易安居士，宋代最有名的女词人。她前半生生活安稳，和丈夫赵明诚感情很好，一起收藏金石书画；后半生经历国家战乱、丈夫去世，四处漂泊。这首词属于她前期的作品，愁绪轻柔，又带着对春天的盼望。

The mood意境

The first half feels heavy. The courtyard is bleak, the wind and rain will not stop, and every gate is shut. The Cold Food Festival is near, and willows and flowers should be at their best, but the weather spoils it all. She writes poems and drinks, and on waking feels only duller. The geese fly off, and her feelings cannot be sent. The second half is upstairs. Curtains hang all around, she cannot even be bothered to lean on the railing, the quilt is cold and the dream is over. But in the morning dew flows and the wutong puts out shoots, and suddenly she wants to go out into spring. The last line is like someone opening a window and looking out with a little hope. From gloom to hope, it is written truly and finely.

上半首很闷：院子冷清，风雨不停，门都关着。寒食将近，本该花好柳好，却偏偏是恼人的天气。她写诗、喝酒，醒来只觉得更无聊。大雁飞走了，心事也寄不出去。下半首在楼上，帘子四垂，连栏杆都懒得靠，被冷香消，梦也醒了。可是到了清晨，露水流动，梧桐发芽，她心里忽然又有了春游的念头。最后一句“更看今日晴未”，像一个人推开窗户，带着一点期待往外看。从闷到盼，写得又真又细。
