This page follows the text in Three Hundred Song Lyrics, which gives the tune name as Jin Ming Chi and the poet as the monk Hui, who is Zhongshu. Our source text uses the tune name Xia Yun Feng, another name for the same tune. The source differs from Three Hundred Song Lyrics and the Gushiwen site in two places. In line 16 it has "world", which looks very like "ask" in traditional script and does not rhyme, so it is a copying error for "ask". Line 9 begins with "all" instead of "but". Both are corrected here to match Three Hundred Song Lyrics. The source also starts the second stanza at line 9, while Three Hundred Song Lyrics starts it after line 11, which is followed here. Three characters are written in today's standard simplified forms.
