转zhuàn: Here it means the willow down swirling round by the well, so it is read zhuàn. Some read it zhuǎn.这里指杨花在井边打着旋儿飘，读 zhuàn。也有人读 zhuǎn。

Background创作背景

This ci shows a quiet courtyard in spring. Weeds grow on the wall and moss in the yard. The sunlight is pale. Butterflies, swallows and willow down all drift lazily about. From somewhere comes the sound of girls playing a coin game, and behind a green window someone is taking a nap. We do not know exactly when it was written. Almost the whole poem is scenery, with no direct word about anyone's feelings. Its style is close to the Flower Among the Ci of the late Tang and Five Dynasties.

这首词写春天一个安静的庭院。墙上长草，院里生苔，阳光淡淡的，蝴蝶、燕子、柳絮都在悠闲地动着，远处传来女孩们玩簸钱游戏的声音，绿窗里有人在睡午觉。写作的具体时间不清楚。全词几乎都是景物，没有直接说人的心情，风格接近晚唐五代的“花间词”。

The poet作者

Chen Ke, styled Zigao, called himself the Lay Buddhist of Chicheng. He came from Linhai in today's Zhejiang and lived at the end of the Northern Song and the start of the Southern Song. Sources differ on his dates. His ci mostly show gardens, women's rooms and the lives of women, in fine words and delicate pictures. He is often compared with the late Tang poet Wen Tingyun.

陈克，字子高，号赤城居士，临海（今浙江临海）人，生活在北宋末到南宋初，生卒年说法不一。他的词多写庭院、闺房里的景物和女子的生活，用词精美，画面细腻，常被拿来和晚唐的温庭筠相比。

The mood意境

This ci is like a camera moving slowly. First we see the wall and the yard: green weeds and moss, so few people come and it is very quiet. Then the middle of the yard: pale sunlight and banana leaves still curled, just as spring is warming. Then the small moving things: butterflies flying up the steps, swallows talking by the curtain hook, willow down circling by the well. The curtain hangs at ease with no one to roll it up, another kind of stillness. At last come sounds: girls playing the coin game somewhere, and someone sleeping lightly behind the green window. The more sounds we hear, the quieter and lazier this spring day feels.
